For Global Game Jam 2023, the theme was 'Roots'; our team's interpretation of the theme was to create a game that shines light back at the early games that came into existence and established the gaming industry. We decided to go with a platformer game, following the story of an acorn exploring the roots; and the underground world, eventually defeating the final boss bee.

'The story of every old wise oak tree begins with a small acorn tumbling around looking for a place to take root. Take control of an acorn traveling around the tree, avoiding obstacles, jumping on worms, and enjoying life as an acorn. Delve into the tree and find your place in the world.'

For this project we created five different levels. I specifically worked as a level designer, designing layout for levels 1 to 4. I also helped in systems, by creating simple systems like the breakable platform, and the spider turret.
